Here are some great baby shower game ideas:
1)What's in the Diaper Game:
What you need: a dozen disposable diapers, permanent marker, a dozen different candy bars, plastic spoons, paper and pen for each guest
Number the diapers 1 to 12 with the permanent marker. Away from everyone's view (in the kitchen), hostess puts a different kind of candy bar in each diaper (a piece about half an inch big is enough). She then microwaves each diaper just long enough for the chocolate to melt.
The "dirty" diapers are passed around and guests try to guess what kind of candy bar each diaper contains. Have your camera ready, because this game makes for some HILARIOUS photos! (People putting "dirty" diapers up to their noses, people tasting the chocolate "poop") and the different varieties of "poop" make people laugh. (Candy bars with nuts, caramel or coconut work very well. Think Mr. Goodbar, Almond Joy, Snickers)
2) Guess how many Q-Tips (or other similar object like safety pins, or bottle nipples)
Place Q-tips in a jar - better if it's colored ones. Have guests guess how many of one color or all colors in the jar. The person with the closet answer not going over wins. You can use pink, white, blue.
3) Nursery Rhymes
Pick certain lines from nursery rhymes and have the guests figure out which rhyme the line came from. Example:
Lost your mittens
Answer: Three Little Kittens
4) Blind Diapering the baby
MATERIALS: baby doll, 1 cloth diaper, 2 diaper pins, blind fold, stopwatch.
Guests take turns putting a diaper on the baby doll while blind folded. The guest with the fastest and best diapering job wins a prize.
5) Tray of Baby Items
Purchase several baby items (diaper, bottle, pacifier, comb etc) before the shower and arrange them all on a tray. Have the mom-to-be pass the tray around then find a reason to excuse herself. Once she is gone the hostess tells the guests to write down as many things as they can that were on the tray. The more detailed (color, amount) wins!
6) Don't forget to check out party stores for ideas too!
