Greeting Members!
This is Rosemary, your Administrator. We have a lot of exciting things coming up in June! And getting ready in July!
After much consideration, we’ve modified the rules for hiring Assistant Forum Reps and Forum
Reps. If you’d like to be either one, you must have been a member for
at least 45 days and have at least 150 posts. There are some specific
jobs that need filling:
• I need someone who wants to take over
the Fitness Challenge. This person CANNOT be a participant. Duties
include, setting up teams, monitoring teams blogs, and tracking
points. This positions starts ASAP for training, and they will be in
charge on all future FC.
• A Historian. We’re running out of
room with all the pictures. Historian will get permission from members
to copy photos to download to our own photo album online. Photo’s more
than 45 days old will be deleted to save disc space. Historian will
also put together slideshows, and collages for the site.
• Vendor
Fair Rep. This person will help coordinate the Baby Kottage Vendor
Fairs. Their job includes tracking signups, getting the fair organized
and helping me. I prefer a WAH parent to help with this.

and CP/Katie have agreed to teach our first gardening class! Join them
down in the Veranda under gardening!
Notyetamommy/Angel has
agreed to help out once again with the Cooking Classes! This month
she’s going to help you all with the Grill Series 2008!
EmmasMommy/Maria has agreed to help with the Book Club! Go down to the Library Book Club to pick out June's Book!
Paradisemommy/Jennifer has agreed to lead the scrapbooking class in The Kreative Memories Room.

June Events:
Starting
June 1- June 30 we have our Fitness Challenge! Participants will
receive an email today. If you signed up and did not receive an email
or personal message, please email me. Participants in the FC are
members dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle! If you missed this
month, consider joining for our July Challenge!
The Grill Series
2008 is HERE! Starting June 1, you’ll be able to submit your recipes
on the site until June 30! July 1-15, members will vote for their
favorite recipes!
Categories include-
Appetizers, side dishes,
salads, desserts, and beverages. All submissions will be property of
the site, and used in the Grill Series 2008 Kook Book (created by our
CafePress store).
The winners (after members vote on best in each
category) will get a Grill Series Kook Book and an apron. All entries
will get a PDF version of the book with a link to get the book $5 off.
(this would be unavailable to general public, thus the private link).
Winners will be announced later that month.
If this is a success, we will hold a Holiday Bake Off starting in September, so that the recipes are available by October 31.
Future Events:
The
Baby Kottage Vendor Fair is a place for WAH businesses to sell their
products for ONE weekend only. All WAH businesses that have products
to sell can participate for $5. ONLY 1 Business PER person. Members
who want to sell their "junk" can also put it on the fair. It will go
from 8AM Fri- 8PM Sunday.
I'd like to do this at least every 3 months, more if it's a success.
Other News:
By
power of the vote, starting very soon (as soon as I have time to sit
and write it up) we will allow WAH members to post a banner in their
signature for a fee of $5 a month or $60 a year and members must be of
at least Toddler Status (or 150 posts) in order to participate. More
info to come.
As requested by members there will be a “business”
flyer to print out if you wish to hand them out around town (they’ll be
small, so I can have 3 or 4 printouts on each one). Be looking for it
in June!
