I am a former California School Employee trying to give this Work At Home Mom thing a shot. I am a blogging mommy who spends my time teaching you how to save money. I also sew and make "fluff " also known as Cloth Diapers. I make all fluff - especially stuff that is green and eco-friendly.
Anyone interested in my products should know that I put my heart into everything I make because I design and make these same items for my own use. You can be confident in knowing that you are supporting a WAHM and your money is staying in the USA and being reinvested into our economy.
A year ago, I would have never guessed that I would be trying to work at home. I really loved my job but I guess I forgot how things change when you have a baby.
You can say the Walmart lady changed my perspective. I was buying fabric for a sling that I was asked to make and I had Rylie with me. The Walmart Fabric Lady asked if I was a SAHM and I told her I was for now, that I was on maternity leave which would take me through Summer break and I would return to work in September. She told me not to go back. I thought it was brazen of her to tell me not to work. She continued and said, "When I had my first, I wanted nice things and extra money, so I worked. I worked a lot....I really regretted all that work when my baby died. Stuff isn't that important."
I seriously think about that conversation every day. I have chosen to do small WAH jobs so I feel like a contributing member of the household, all while holding my baby just a little bit closer.
